What is Grounding?
Touch the Earth with your bare skin. That’s grounding.
Your body generates electrical energy through physical motion and mental emotion. Earth acts as an electrical “ground” (GND) by absorbing this excess electricity.
But when you’re constantly insulated by rubber-soled shoes, that energy has nowhere to go. Negative reactions to being ungrounded include:
Poor sleep
Overthinking
Physical fatigue
Emotional burn-out
To me, grounding is more than just the physical exchange of ions with the earth…
What’s a Grounding Circle?
A grounding circle is a place for people to get together and ground themselves.
But it can also be:
creating s p a c e to breathe deeply and live happily.
taking one second to marvel at the nature that surrounds you.
a place for people to get together and decompress from the stresses of modern life.
It’s giving thanks for life as it is.
